NETTING “LACE” INSERTIONS – 3 Hours
Lovely faux lace insertions form a square-in-a-square effect in this 12” block. English cotton netting is embellished with decorative machine stitches, and used to form inserts in a cotton batiste square. This semi-sheer square is layered over a simple 4-patch block to give an illusion of depth and transparency. The block can have borders added and be made into a pillow or small wall hanging, or it can be combined with other blocks in a larger quilt.
A zigzag sewing machine with some decorative stitches is required for this class. Skill level: advanced beginner and above.
